Agentes cancerígenos na siderurgia
A siderurgia é um setor produtivo que envolve diferentes atividades, desde a extração do minério de ferro até a produção de produtos siderúrgicos, como o aço. Durante esse processo, podem ser utilizados diferentes agentes químicos e físicos que podem ser potencialmente cancerígenos.
Alguns exemplos de agentes cancerígenos na siderurgia são:
1. Fumaça de solda: durante os processos de soldagem, podem ser liberados gases e partículas que contêm metais pesados como o chumbo, o cádmio, o zinco e o níquel, que são considerados cancerígenos.
2. Poeira de sílica: a sílica é um mineral presente no minério de ferro e é liberada durante os processos de extração e produção do aço. A exposição prolongada a essa poeira pode causar silicose, que é uma doença pulmonar crônica que pode levar ao câncer.
3. Agentes químicos: durante o processo de produção de aço podem ser utilizados diferentes produtos químicos, como solventes, ácidos e bases, que são potencialmente cancerígenos.
4. Radiação ionizante: durante a produção do aço podem ser utilizados equipamentos que emitem radiação ionizante, como os fornos de fusão. A exposição prolongada a essa radiação pode aumentar o risco de desenvolver câncer.
