Quando a Gerdau Ouro Branco distribuiu para seus trabalhadores uma cartilha contendo a política integrada sobre
saúde e segurança, meio ambiente e qualidade, os trabalhadores imediatamente entraram em contato com o Sindicato,
argumentando que estavam assustados com a forma que estavam sendo abordados, principalmente com relação à página
da cartilha que deveria ser assinada e entregue ao gerente da respectiva área. Esta página seria o compromisso do
trabalhador para estar em segurança no trabalho. Segundo os trabalhadores, toda a responsabilidade está sendo jogada nas
costas deles.
O Sindicato, em reunião ocorrida na quinta-feira, dia 15, com o Diretor Industrial, Gerente do RH e Segurança do
Trabalho da empresa, ponderou, junto aos mesmos, o jeito que os trabalhadores estão sendo abordados na empresa, por
certas lideranças.
Segundo o Presidente do Sindicato, cada liderança leva de uma forma as comunicações: uns, de forma punitiva,
outros, de modo ameaçador e os outros com coerência, mas, nunca as diretrizes da diretoria da Gerdau são seguidas de
forma homogênea.
Ouvimos dos representantes da Gerdau que, em nenhum momento, a empresa usou dessa cartilha, chamada de
(GUIA DE AÇO), para amedrontar ou punir trabalhadores.
O Sindicato ponderou, também, sua concordância com o fato de que os trabalhadores têm que ser orientados pela
empresa no que tange a segurança dos mesmos.
O Presidente do Sindicato, Raimundinho, concorda que, além da instrução teórica aos trabalhadores, esta ação
tem que ser precedida, na prática, com a implementação urgente no que diz respeito a inspeção nos equipamentos da
empresa, meio da realização de manutenções preventivas e corretivas em áreas críticas e acompanhadas sempre por um
profissional qualificado em segurança do trabalho.
O diretor industrial da Gerdau falou que, em paralelo, a empresa já vem tomando todas as medidas com relação a
segurança de seus trabalhadores e prometendo uniformizar a comunicação de suas lideranças com seus trabalhadores.
O Sindicato concorda e acredita que o objetivo da entidade sindical, dos trabalhadores e da empresa não é outro,
senão a segurança de seus empregados.
